Beautiful & Affordable Area Rugs

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: rugs make the room. One of our favorite options is the Layla Collection. These rugs are super affordable, super stylish, and have that great vintage-inspired look that we love. Because a 2x7 runner is only $129, you’ll never feel bad if someone spills juice or spaghetti.

No-Worries Dining Furniture

What’s the easiest way to have a handsome dining table moment that is also 100% family-approved? Rustic, reclaimed table tops, and worry-free wood dining chairs. Rustic tables like the Otto Dining Table are made with reclaimed wood that comes pre-dented and worn. Because the table is meant to look that way, you’ll never have to worry about rogue fork dents or scuffs from Hot Wheels.

Dining chairs, like the Lewis Windsor, are available in 4 different finishes and now come with the option to add a cushion for a more comfortable seat. The full-back also makes it super easy to strap a booster seat on.

All of life’s best moments happen in the kitchen, so why not include your kiddos?

Counter or bar seating not only opens up more space for your family or guests but also creates a sort of viewing station for any curious little cooks. Give your kids the perfect perch to watch you mix, sauté, chop, or clean, all from the safe position of a kid-friendly counter stool.

Small Storage Solutions

Baskets and boxes are a parent’s best friend. They can be tucked under tables, into corners, in closets, or right out in the open. If you’re worried about things looking cluttered, drape a throw over the edge and you will have an instantly curated look.

Boxes are great for storing smaller toys like racecars, marbles, or action figures. We love pretty options like the Decorative Metal Boxes because they can be stacked to add height to a table or scattered throughout a room to add a layer of decor with just one product set.

Stylish Storage Trunks

For super-storage solutions, trunks are the way to go! From storing toys to extra linens, a trunk is an incredible transition piece that will be as useful during the toddler years as it is in the teen years. Rattan options are great because if the lid falls, little fingers will be safe from heavier options like wood.

Functional & Fashionable Furniture Favorites

If you have climbers, we have a solution. Keep your kids safe with ottoman-style coffee tables, soft-as-can-be ottomans, and stylish step-stools. Ottoman coffee tables are great for those with kids who always seem to be bumping into things. The soft edges will help to keep bruises at bay and you will be comfortable as you kick your feet up and watch them play.

Smaller ottomans like the Sinclair Round Ottoman are great as a pair and can double as extra seating. For kids who love helping in the kitchen, the Reclaimed Wood Step Stool is a great boost for anyone who might not be able to reach the counter. After all, who doesn’t love a little sous-chef helping them out?

Scout Sessions | The Four-Hour Light Fixture Hunt (And What It Taught Me About Systems)

The day I spent four hours tracking down a single light fixture while three clients were waiting for design decisions, I realized something had to change.
